IS-Diagnostics' Bacterial Profile Analysis
IS-Diagnostics have patented a rapid bacterial identification technique. The technology enables for the diagnosis, ongoing tracking and management of bacterial populations in various habitats. The project requires integration of advanced algorithms, data handling and IT infrastructure over the full lifecycle from flexible R&D support through to final clinical use.
ClinicaGeno is particularly involved in the following aspects of the project:
- IT infrastructure (CHUB):
The project is based on ClinicaGeno's CHUB platform handling all critical
data analysis and auditing processes in a single,
tightly-controlled location. This reduces deployment costs and simplifies the
automatic recording of all data and processing steps for future audit
and process improvement.
- Core analysis algorithm: The bacterial identification technique generates a 'profile' that needs to be compared algorithmically against reference data to determine the bacterial composition of the sample.
- Database development: The database allows all input data to be stored and any relevant analytic results to be recorded. Additionally, it allows IS-Diagnostic researchers to annotate the data to support ongoing R&D.
- Regulatory Compliance: Control of all activities related to the regulatory compliance of the IT components of the system.
